Lucknow: In a bid to ensure the smooth, transparent, and error-free implementation of the upcoming Census 2027, Lucknow District Magistrate Vishakh G conducted a comprehensive inspection of multiple training centres across the city.
The inspection began at GD Goenka Public School, where training sessions for enumerators and supervisors from Nagar Nigam Zone 8 are currently underway. During the visit, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Rakesh Singh informed that six batches are being trained at the centre, each recording an attendance of over 90 percent.
Taking note of absenteeism, the District Magistrate directed officials to ensure that all enumerators who missed sessions are promptly brought back and complete the mandatory three-day training programme without fail. He emphasized that full participation is critical for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the census process.
Subsequently, the District Magistrate inspected another training facility at Delhi Public School Shaheed Path, where enumerators and supervisors from Sarojini Nagar tehsil are undergoing training. Officials reported that three batches are being conducted at this centre. During the inspection, nine enumerators were found absent, prompting immediate instructions from the DM to ensure their participation at the earliest to prevent any disruption in the census workflow.

Apart from reviewing attendance and training quality, the District Magistrate also assessed the infrastructure and facilities available at both centres. He inspected seating arrangements, drinking water, refreshments, electricity supply, and audio-visual equipment, directing concerned officials to ensure that trainees face no inconvenience during the programme.
Sukhveer Singh and other departmental officials were also present during the inspections.
Reiterating the importance of preparedness, the District Magistrate instructed all officials to strictly adhere to the training schedule and ensure 100 percent attendance of all designated personnel. He underscored that meticulous training is essential to guarantee a reliable and efficient Census 2027 exercise.
